The Ardennes, a land profoundly attached to its traditions, is unique because of its gastronomy, especially with the quality label, 'Ardennes de France'.


In a healthy position, the Red Turkey, a star of the poultry yards of the Ardennes, is considered to be a real favorite. However, there is also Rethel's White Sausage, a tasty mix of fresh pork meat, hard fat, milk and eggs and even the Cacasse à Cul Nu, so called because of the absence of meat!

Ardennes beer is the other gastronomic specialty. The best thing to do is to go out into the Ardennes localities and discover the unique flavours as they are presented in the country markets.
