By train, by car, by plane and even by boat… All roads lead to the Ardennes! Or almost ! So not to be mistaken, follow the guide. 

By car

  • From Paris: direction Reims (A4), then direction Charleville-Mézières (A34).
  • From Lille: direction Tournai, Mons, Charleroi, Philippeville (N5/E420), Rocroi (A304) and Charleville-Mézières.
  • From Saarbrücken: direction Luxembourg (E25 and E411) then, at Libramont, direction Sedan and Charleville-Mézières.
  • From Cologne: direction Aix-la-Chapelle, Liège, then direction Luxembourg (E25), then direction Namur and Libramont (E411) and, finally, direction Sedan and Charleville-Mézières.
  • From Brussels and Amsterdam: direction Charleroi, Philippeville (N5/E420), Rocroi (A304) and Charleville-Mézières.
  • From London, via Calais: direction Reims (A26), then direction Charleville-Mézières (A34).

By train

  • TGV East: Paris – Charleville-Mézières 1h40, 2 direct trains per day

Boat

  • From the north, by Meuse.
  • From the south, by Marne canal then Ardennes canal.

By bike 

In France, from Haute-Marne (Langres), Meuse (Verdun), in Belgium from Liège via Namur, or in Holland, from Rotterdam via Maastricht, follow EuroVelo 19 – La Meuse à vélo and reach the Ardennes via the Trans-Ardennes Greenway. 

Arrived at Givet or Sedan, you can also take the train. Spaces are provided for transporting your bike free of charge in the TER.
