During the summer (every Thursday and Friday from July to September), the Val d'Ardenne Tourist Office offers guided tours of this emblematic Val d'Ardenne site.
At the confluence of two valleys, the Viroin and the Meuse, Vireux-Molhain has always occupied a strategic position for military control of the region.
As early as the 3rd century, the Romans established a military camp on the heights of Molhain, on the edge of this rocky spur dominating the valley.
From this ancient fortification, defended on its 4 sides by a thick wall, remain visible the 2 corner towers of the enclosure, a bread oven, a circular hearth and a cemetery. Many medieval remains are also still visible.
Come and discover this emblematic site with a guide from the Val d'Ardenne tourist office.
Until the end of September, THURSDAY and FRIDAY at 4pm
